Self-Pay Rates, Services, and Insurance
Payment Options:
I provide exclusively self-pay as insurance companies do not cover 2-hour sessions. For those using self-pay, payment is accepted in the form of major debit/credit cards and health savings account cards.
What’s the reason you only offer 2-hour sessions?
I’ve used measurement to know whether or not my clients are actually getting better for the majority of my practice. There has been a clear trend that clients who attend two hour sessions and do their between session work are significantly more likely to recover. This means that two hour sessions are more time and cost effective for you!
Two-Hour Intensive Intake and Treatment Session
$500
In this two hour initial session, you will not only be understood, but will also leave with skills and new understandings to start your path to feeling well. Most clients report significant improvement in mood and wellbeing in just one session. Only available for self-pay clients as insurance does not cover two-hour sessions.
Two-Hour Intensive Follow-Up Session
$500
In this two hour follow-up session, we will address any other challenges you may be facing and further build upon your recovery. In your initial session, you will have learned to feel better about one particular issue in one particular situation. In your follow-up, you’ll learn to truly recover, gaining confidence that you have the skills to feel better in the event that you start to have a hard time again.
Single Hour Quick Pick-Up
$250
After you have done two full length sessions, there may be moments that you run into new challenges or feel stuck again. That is common, and having another person to give some guidance when you feel stuck can really speed up the process. You may return for a quick one hour session any time to put yourself back onto the road of recovery.
No Show and Cancellation Fee
Full Rate of Session
Missed appointments prevent you from receiving required care and prevent your therapist from providing that care. They also prevent another person from receiving care during that time, which is set aside specifically for you. As a result, you will be financially responsible for any missed appointments not cancelled with at least 24 hours notice (emergency exceptions may apply). Please plan ahead to arrive on time for appointments. If you are too late to allow time for proper care, you may be asked to reschedule.
Good Faith Estimate
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your psychological service. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-877-696-6775.
